The Kwinana Loop Trail is a 21km circuit which takes your through natural coastal Nyoongar bushland. The loop is broken into 6 stages, so you don’t have to complete it all in one day. The Kwinana Loop Trail has been designed for both walker and mountain bike rider.
We have walked many stages of the Kwinana loop trail and thoroughly enjoy it. The wildlife and wildflowers are amazing. We are lucky enough to very easy access to stage 6 which we regularly walk. The scenery, wildlife and wildflowers that come you come across is nothing short of amazing.
The Kwinana Loop Trail Distances, Times and Parking Information
Stage 1 of the Kwinana Loop Trail starts from Gilmore Ave and goes until Wellard Road and is 3.4km long and will take 40-50 minutes to complete one way. Parking is at Sloan’s Cottage in Leda which is on Harman Street. Some of the highlight for this stage are the Leda lookout and Kaal- Ap Place of fire and Sloan’s Cottage.
Stage 2 starts at Wellard Road and goes to Thomas Road and is 3.7km long and will take 45-55 minutes to complete one way. Parking is available at Thomas Oval Medina which on Beacham Crescent. Some of the highlights for this stage are the Walley Family Bush Camp and Chalk Hill.
Stage 3 starts from Medina Ave and goes to Sulphur Road and is 3.6km long and will take 45-55 minute to complete one way. Parking is at North Parmelia Primary School which is on Durrant Ave. The highlight along this section is the Kwinana Rotary Club wildflower walk and tower.
Stage 4 starts from Sulphur Road and goes to Challenger Ave east and is 2.9km long and will take 35-45 to complete on way. Parking is at St Vincent’s Primary School which is on Parmelia Ave.
Stage 5 starts from Challenger Ave east to Leda Boulevard and is 3km long and will take 35-45 minutes to complete one way. Parking is at Wellard Park which is on the corner of Bertram Road and Wellard Road.
Stage 6 starts from Leda Boulevard and goes to Gilmore Ave and is 4.8km and will take 55-70 minutes one way. Parking is at Wellard Park which is the corner of Bertram Road and Wellard Road.
